I pretty much assumed it was a man based on my assumption that more men propose to women than women to men.

Plus women wouldnt’ be stupid enough to give a 15k ring away.

The thing is that THAT ring will forever be associated with a sad story of heartbreak. I wouldn’t want to use that to give it to someone I love.

Anyways, some interesting questions: man or woman? My first instinct is that it’s a man. But I can see how it could be a woman too. Say her husband/fiancee died? Which leads us to … died or left? Old or young? I saw a pic of it and the ring looks pretty modern.

I hope it DOES end up on the hand of someone he loves and not in a pawn shop somewhere. Let’s not ruin this Christmas story!
