“Scottie” from Star Trek (old school) passed away. It’s kind of sad to see a relic from my childhood gone.
The weather is SO hot these days! I don’t mind it much because of the extended winter. It makes me want to leave work and go play.
This past weekend was all about BBQs. Em’s parents had a going away party on saturday and on sunday we had the annual GYGO (Get Your Grub On). At GYGO, there is always a competition between teams. We (Audrey, Andrea, Mahyar, Mike, Abby, Em and me) got second place. We were 3 points behind 1st!! Sux! But I have to say that the highlight of that day was Waterballoon Volleyball in which we won first. It was a hard fought battle with knuckle-gnawing rallies.

I’m kind of curious to watch MacGyver today, many years later. I remember that, as a child, I found it incredibly amazing what the guy could do with a pocket knife, some string and a pile of rocks. He always built a rocket launcher or something. I bet that if I watched it I would really have a good laugh. It’d be worth getting for nostalgic and comedic reasons.

They still play re-runs of MacGyver…I think on USA. I was watching an episode a few weeks ago where he’s mtn climbing, his love interest dies and he blames the tragedy on himself. My favorite moments were when he would break into a hospital, steal some nitro tablets, grind it into a paste and create a bomb in order to destroy a lock of some sort. It was quite amazing the chemicals he could get his hands on…and they were always so conveniently placed!
